| D.A.V. College of Education, Abohar is a premium teacher training institution established in 1968 by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. The college has completed 43 years of distinguished service in the field of teacher education and has always achieved excellent result in academic, cultural and other related fields. The college is permanently recognized by NCTE for running M.Ed. (35 seats) and B.Ed. (250 seats) programmes and is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college is also recognized by NCTE and SCERT to run 100 seats for ETT course since 2005. The college is recognized by the Govt. of Punjab under the grant-in-aid scheme. The college takes the responsibilities to groom the younger generation with internal and external values along with the development of life skills essential for leading a prosperous life. The college is committed to provide multidisciplinary teaching through innovative strategies to meet the challenges of global demands. The college has been persistently trying its best to promote quality teacher education and research.
